My name is Pake Melland, and I am an Assistant Professor at the Oregon Institute of Technology. Previously, I was a Postdoc at Southern Methodist University working with Dr. Andrea Barreiro.  Before that, I completed my dissertation at the University of Iowa under the supervision of Dr. Rodica Curtu.

My research interests are in applied mathematics with a special interest in data-driven methods for the modeling and analysis of problems from biology.
